SEAONICS to equip Inkfish’s latest Research Vessel

SEAONICS has signed a new contract with VARD to deliver a complete research package for Inkfish’s upcoming research vessel, RV6000.

The package will include an A-frame system, scientific winch system, launch and recovery system (LARS) for ROV operations, and an offshore crane. Together, these systems will provide the RV6000 with the robust and sustainable equipment required for demanding oceanographic missions.

The custom-built research vessel is speciallydesigned for scientific exploration. It will join Inkfish’s growingfleet, alongside RV Hydra and RV Dagon, to supportmarine research globally. Working closely with host countries, data collectedcontributes to open-sourced repositories.

Together with our mother company Vard, the delivery date for the vessel is scheduled to Q2 2028.
