Seaonics has delivered an ECMC C25 crane, ECMC 30m gangway and one of the first vessel installations of the Seaonics Situate Bridge solution to VARD for Dong Fang Offshore's new CSOV, Orient Inspirer.

The delivery combines motion compensated lifting, personnel transfer and advanced operator support in a fully electric controlled motion compensated setup developed for offshore operations.
The ECMC C25 crane provides active 3D motion compensation through coordinated control of the boom, telescope and slew functions, enabling precise lifting operations in challenging sea states. The crane is designed to maintain a stable wire exit position and extend the operational window for offshore lifting activities.
The ECMC 30m gangway delivers safe transfer of personnel between vessel and offshore installations through fully electric motion compensation technology. As part of the ECMC gangway series, the system provides stable connections while eliminating the need for hydraulic systems, simplifying operation and maintenance.

Advanced Driver Assistance System
A central highlight of the Orient Inspirer installation is the first delivery of SEAONICS Situate Bridge, an advanced operator situational awareness platform. While traditional video walls merely display multiple camera feeds, Situate was developed around a fundamentally different design philosophy: it doesn’t just display the operation - it situates the operator within it.
By combining operator-centric design, intelligent camera perspectives, and dynamic visualization overlays, Situate gives operators a clearer understanding of what is happening during critical crane and gangway operations.

"Situate enables operators to be stationed where collaboration on the bridge is optimized, without requiring direct line of sight or occupying critical bridge window space required by other vessel functions,"
Arne Johan Trandal, Product Manager, Seaonics.

By giving operators an unstrained, context-rich view of every movement, SEAONICS Situate Bridge improves operational consistency, reduces risk exposure, and elevates safety across complex offshore lifts and transfers.

Following the successful operation of the 90T XT Winch System onboard Deepsea Nordkapp, SEAONICS has delivered two additional winches to further strengthen the rig’s lifting and handling capabilities.
