Seaonics has completed the sea trial for the winch package onboard Kaassassuk, Royal Greenland’s newest trawler – designed to handle demanding arctic operations with control, precision, and reliability.

From early planning to final testing at sea, we’ve worked closely with the shipowner, yard, and suppliers to tackle challenges and deliver a system built for the toughest conditions.
"Our team has stayed focused throughout, working together with all stakeholders to find solutions and ensure a delivery we’re proud of,"
Espen Sjåstad, Project Manager at Seaonics.

This marks our fifth delivery to Royal Greenland. We’ve already equipped Tuugaalik, Nataarnaq, Sisimiutt, and Avataq – all in operation today – with our electric trawl winch systems.
Delivery Scope for Kaassassuk:

With over 40 complete trawl packages delivered in total, we continue to apply our specialized knowledge to deliver robust, reliable systems– giving our customers the upper hand at sea to operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably in harsh environments.
