Successful seatrial on Normand Reach
Solstad Offshore`s Normand Reach has completed a successful seatrial off the west coast of Norway. SEAONICS Launch and Recovery System (LARS) was among the systems tested without any major problems. The delivery to Normand Reach consisted of moonpool and overside LARS system plus hangar doors, skidding system and hatches.
Personnel from SEAONICS and ICD was part of the seatrial to run through the test procedure for each system down to 2,400 meters depth.
The photo show the ROV system in use. We can here see the lower and upper hangar doors are closed during operation. This improves the working conditions in the ROV hangar for the personnel.
This is ROV system 11 and 12 delivered by SEAONICS since its start in 2011.
We congratulate Solstad Offshore and Vard Aukra with the project and look forward to further collaboration. Normand Reach is now going on a 2 year charter agreement with DOF Subsea to deliver subsea projects.
