Simulator use in project execution

Published: 05/11/2022 Updated: 05/12/2022

As part of the project delivery of three 100-ton offshore subsea cranes SEAONICS have developed an advanced training simulator which have been used as part of the project development and testing. In the final stages of the project it is a great advantage to be able to test final functionalities and carry out training to personnel which will be part of the commission phase, and which will be operating the crane.

The training simulator and digital twin of the crane based on the mathematical models of the system and forces acting upon the actual crane operations. The simulator has throughout the project provided additional quality assurance of the project delivery and give the operator valuable experience with how the crane works and they can train on various operations.
