Seaonics secures new contracts in China
Seaonics have secured a contract for delivery of three one-hundred ton offshore/subsea cranes to a Chinese customer. The contract is a collaboration project between Seaonics and a Chinese partner. The project deliveries will take place from Q3 2021-Q4 2022.
The 100 tons crane will be designed and certified according to DNV-GL-ST-0378 with advanced Active heave compensation (AHC), splash zone handling and motion compensated ship to ship capabilities. The crane system has high dynamic factor, and safety features such as MOPS and AOPS for safe and efficient handling operations offshore and subsea.
In addition Seaonics will deliver an advanced training simulator and digital twin of the crane based on the mathematical models of the system and forces acting upon the actual crane operations. The simulator provide additional quality assurance of the project delivery and give the operator valuable experience with how the crane works and they can train on various operations.
“This contract is another milestone in our focus on the Chinese market and proves that the focus on delivering premium products and services to this market is a good match”, says Head of Sales Jan Kjærstad. “We look forward to further develop Seaonics in China and continue our work with our partners, ship designer and customers in the region.”
