ICD merges with Seaonics AS
Effective from August 2018, ICD merged with Seaonics.
Effective from August 2018, Industrial Control Design AS will merge with Seaonics AS. The background for the merger is to strengthen Seaonics’ position as a premium provider of lift and handling technology within the segments Offshore Energy, Research & Exploration and Ocean Harvesting. Industrial Control Design AS was established in 2001 and has developed and delivered a wide range of control systems to leading equipment suppliers in the maritime industry.
“The merger strengthens our ability to provide complete and competitive products and services to existing and new customers. It enables development of new digital solutions to support autonomous lift and handling operations and technology based services” says Managing Director Stig Espeseth.
Managing Director of Industrial Control Design AS, Arve Gudmundset, will assume the role of Technical Director of Seaonics and sees the merger as a natural formalization of the close collaboration with Seaonics today. “As part of the Seaonics team we will continue the development of advanced control technology, products and services. We believe the merge will provide new opportunities for new and existing customers.”
